Bones are very alive on the inside body, because they are being fed by a network of blood vessels from the circulatory system and nerves from the Nervous System.An ORDINARY bone has a dense inside layer and tough outer layer. In the middle of some bones is jelly like bone substance where new cells are being produced over and over for blood.
Teeth are sometimes considered part of the skeletal system, but they are not counted as bones. Teeth have a subtance called [enamel] which is strongest substance in your body. Teeth are really important in the digestive system.
The skeletal system has two distinctive parts: the axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton.
The axial skeleton has a total of 80 bones, {column,rib cage,skull} The axial transmits weight from the head, to the trunk and the upper extremities down to the lower extremities at the hip joints, which help humans maintain our upright posture.
The Appendicular Skeleton has 126 bones, and formed by the pectoral girdles, the upper limbs, the pelvic girdle and the lower limbs. Their functions are to make walking, running and other movement possible and to protect the major organs responsible for digestion, and reproduction.

Skeletal Diseases
Their are some diseases where the bone tissue is starting to decrease or go away; its called osteoporosis. this disease is very common to the old folks. some bones can completely disappear.
Bone Cancer is another type of disease that spreads through out your body like a virus,another type of disease is Bursitis; Bursitis causes serious pain in the joints of the bones, witch may make it very hard to do normal or daily activities.It also causes inflammation to the Bursa {a lubricating Fluid-filled bag that acts as a surface to allow the muscles move across the bones with pain-ish}
Even though it the skeletal system is there to help protect the human bodies vital organs it takes around 10-16 pounds to break an average bone, unless the bone is something like the skull , witch takes a lot more to break or even crack.
Side-Note: Joints are very important components of the skeletal system the joints is what makes the human body mobile, or able to move(a joint only occurs when "2 or more bones meet".

Basically !!!!!
The skeletal system is what protects our vital organs and gives us our basic shape. The skeletal system is what makes us stand up-right (along with the bones duh). This system is actually attached to other muscles and those muscles also provide power and movement of our body parts.the red blood cells also help the bones too'
